Our guest speakers will include (pictured from left to right):
Dušan Chrenek is Principal Adviser for Digital for Green Transition at the European Commission’s Directorate-General (DG) for Climate Action. He focuses on digital and space technologies for climate action, including early warning and adaptation. Dušan joined the Commission in 2007, serving as Head of the Commission’s Representation in Slovakia and Head of Unit for Enlargement in DG Agriculture and Rural Development. Previously, he worked in the Policy Unit of the High Representative/Secretary-General of the EU Council and held senior posts in Slovakia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Marie Josefine Hintz is a PhD candidate at the Technical University Berlin, researching the implementation of AI for climate action in European cities. Josefine is affiliated with the AI and Climate Technology Policy Group at Hertie School and is a visiting researcher at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She is also a lecturer at the Urban School – Sciences Po Paris. Previously, she worked on projects on digital technologies and sustainability, for example, with GIZ and ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability.
Christina Deligianni, a European Climate Pact Ambassador, is CEO of Verimpact, which delivers AI-based ESG and non-financial risk management solutions. She is also Policy & Programs Director at the Institute for Sustainable Development – EPLO, a joint initiative with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). With over 25 years in public policy, sustainability and business development, Christina has led European and international projects on technology, the blue economy and sustainable development.
