The annual European Week of Regions and Cities will take place in Brussels from 9-12 October. During this four-day event, cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
Regions4Climate partners will participate through:
- A workshop: VTT and Demos Helsinki, together with the PATHWAYS2RESILIENCE and CLIMAAX projects, will host a workshop on Building a socially just transition to regional climate resilience. It will present two novel frameworks for climate risk assessment and for the use of this knowledge in the development of socially-just regional transition roadmaps, which define actionable pathways to reduce vulnerabilities and enhance preparedness to climate change at the regional level. A panel discussion with regional representatives will explore the integration and application of these frameworks in innovative cross-border resilience-building actions.
- A political lab: the Capital Region of Denmark will represent Regions4Climate in their talk on Cross-regional cooperation for climate change Adaptation: EU Missions as a catalyst.
