Soil protection is a cross-cutting discipline that will help to tackle challenges related to biodiversity conservation, human health, and adaptation and mitigation of the effects of climate change. Comprehensive soil protection requires a coordinated effort by all those with soil management competences and capabilities.
From 10-11 October, our partners from Ihobe will organise SOILUZIOAK 2023: the Basque Country Soil Protection Congress in Bilbao. During this congress, there will be thematic sessions exploring the importance of soil and soil protection. Among them, the session on ’The Value of Soil and the Climate Emergency: Adaptation and Mitigation’ will take place on 11 October, where the Basque demo region within the Regions4Climate project will be presented.
