The partners from the municipality of Sitia will organise the UNESCO Geopark Global Conference at Sitia’s Geopark. The objectives of the Conference are to highlight the contribution and role of geoparks in sustainable local development through the promotion of geo-tourism, the promotion of the UNESCO World Geoparks of Greece and Cyprus, the exchange of good practices, and the sensitisation of local communities through information and education activities for the younger generations.
